BOXFORD LAKE (BOXFORD)
Brief description of fishery:
Boxford Lake is located on the outskirts of the village, offering a peaceful setting for pleasure anglers, junior anglers, and families alike. Although the lake is on the smaller side with only 12 available pegs, it boasts a rich variety of species, including bream, carp, crucian, eel, roach, perch, and tench. The lake is ideal for pole or float fishing, with depths reaching up to 8 feet. Whether you’re targeting the near or far margins, you’ll find plenty of fish of all sizes.
Fishing is allowed from the bank or platforms, and the car park, which has space for approximately six vehicles, is situated behind a locked gate. The access code is provided on the club card.
Fishery Notes/Rules:
- Membership with SLMAA is required to fish at the lake; no day tickets available on-site.
- Junior members (under 17) must be accompanied by an adult member to fish.
- Night fishing is not permitted.
- No dogs allowed (livestock may be present in the field).
- The lake is occasionally shared with Cubs and Scouts, who may use canoes for training sessions.

Directions:- In the village of Boxford, turn off Broad Street/Ellis Street on to Ash Street, then up Butchers Lane. Lake is about 300m on the right and is behind a locked gate.
