GLEMSFORD PITS (3 WATERS)

Brief description of fishery:

We also have access to some of London Angling Association (LAA) fisheries in Suffolk/Essex including the river Stour stretches – Note LAA rules apply when fishing the Glemsford Pits

Glemsford Pit 1

A mature shallow gravel pit, which is home to a unknown quantity of carp, roach, roach, pike, and tench. The lock are on a daisy chain arrangement and SLMDAA members can access the water using the code on the club card.

Parking: There is a car parking area to the right as you go through the gate.
 
Glemsford Pit 2 
 
A mature shallow gravel pit which has lots of lilies, but is home to a unknown quantity of carp, roach, roach, pike, and tench.   The lake has recently benefited from an otter fence. The lock are on a daisy chain arrangement and SLMDAA members can access the water using the code on the club card.

Glemsford Pit 3
 
The smallest of the Glemsford pits and one that SLMDAA in partnership with LAA have worked hard to restore and protect with a new otter fence. It has  been stocked of silver fish and crucians to boaster the existing rudd and tench populations. There are still a low number  of  carp.  The lock are on a daisy chain arrangement and SLMDAA members can access the water using the code on the club card.

Pit 1

Direction:- Travelling along the A1092, the access to the water is opposite the Hobbs Lane to Glemsford village. 
Parking: Parking is just inside of the gate.

Pit 2

Direction:- Travelling along the A1092, turn down Pentlow Road and gate is on the left before the first river bridge. Parking is in the the open space after travel down the track.

Pit 3

Direction:- Travelling along the A1092, turn down Pentlow Road and gate is on the left after you pass over the second river bridge. Parking is just inside of the gate.

Parking: There is a small car park just inside of the gate to the right.
