Wixhoe
Wixhoe is a lovely short stretch of the River Stour. More of a winter fishery with mainly Roach & Chub to target.
We share this section with Haverhill
Parking is in the small pull in section opposite the Treatment works and here you are right next to the river.

Black Barn
Black Barn is downstream of Liston and upstream of our Rodbridge sections. Fish of most species can be found here but Chub in the winter are usually very reliable.
Parking is a small section just of the main road.

Stoke By Clare
The club has also agreement to fish a section of the River Stour, Stoke by Clare via the Haverhill Angling Club. The section runs downstream from Ashen Lane along the Essex bank for approx 1 mile.
Directions:- Travelling along the A1092 then turn down Ashen Lane which is opposite the Lion public house. Follow the road down turn left on Lower Stoke Rd. Parking is around the area of Lower Stoke Rd and Doctors Lane.

Coopers Angling - River Great Ouse
The club has an agreement to fish a section of the River Great Ouse in Ely via the Coopers Angling Club. The stretch is approximately an hours drive from Sudbury, but is a excellent winter section and also fishes well in the summer. It contains the usual river species including bream, carp, perch, pike, roach and zander to specimen sizes.
You must be in possession of your SLMDAA membership card to fish this stretch, but you can night fish and it has a good secure car park.
The footpath is public so do expect other users including dog walkers and the river is navigational.
